Landscaping across Chattanooga & Hamilton County

We serve seven communities across the greater Chattanooga area. Same crew, same standards, no extra travel charge inside the service map.

Landscaping in Chattanooga, TN

Chattanooga proper is our home base — North Shore, Downtown, Brainerd, St. Elmo, Highland Park, Northgate, North Chattanooga, and the historic neighborhoods around Missionary Ridge. Most of these areas sit on the heavy red and gray clay that defines the Tennessee River valley: it holds water through winter, bakes hard in summer, and runs acidic enough to need lime before new sod takes.

We cover the full city — downtown lots with tight access where wheelbarrows beat truck-and-trailer setups, river-adjacent properties on Riverview and Stuart Heights with chronic drainage issues, hillside lots in St. Elmo and Missionary Ridge that need retaining and step-grading, and the suburban-feel neighborhoods around East Brainerd and Hamilton Place where larger lawns demand efficient mowing-and-mulching cycles.

Most-requested services in Chattanooga proper: sod installation on hillside lots, French drain installation for clay-soil drainage problems, and seasonal yard cleanups for the dense tree canopy north of the river.

Landscaping in Lookout Mountain, TN

Lookout Mountain yards are some of the most beautiful — and trickiest — properties in the Chattanooga region. About a 15-minute drive from downtown via Ochs Highway or Scenic Highway. Steep slopes, mature hardwood canopy, deep shade pockets, and a clay-and-rock subsoil profile all change how we approach each job.

Drainage problems are common because runoff from the upper mountain saturates yards on the lower slopes. We see a lot of French drains and yard regrading work here, plus shrub trimming around mature plantings — boxwood hedges, hollies, mature rhododendron — that homeowners want kept tidy without losing their look.

We're licensed and insured for the road up. The windy access doesn't bother us; we plan equipment loads around it.

Landscaping in Signal Mountain, TN

Signal Mountain — about 20 minutes from downtown via Signal Mountain Road — shares Lookout's challenges (slope, shade, mature landscapes) but with a different soil profile. Less heavy clay, more rocky and shallow over bedrock in places. That changes both drainage approach and sod options.

Sod choices on Signal skew toward tall fescue because of the canopy shade and cooler microclimate. Bermuda struggles in deep shade lots. Yard cleanups after fall leaf drop are a major seasonal service for Signal homeowners — the hardwood canopy drops volume that single-bag haulers can't keep up with.

Common services on Signal: fall and spring cleanups, shrub trimming, mulching for shaded beds where moisture retention matters more than weed suppression.

Landscaping in Hixson, TN

Hixson sits north of the Tennessee River, about 15–20 minutes from downtown. It runs from suburban subdivisions (Northgate, Big Ridge, Boyd Buchanan) to lake-adjacent lots near Chickamauga Lake. Larger yards, more sun exposure, and flatter terrain than the mountain communities — which means different services dominate.

Sod installation jobs in Hixson are typically full-yard installs (3,000+ sq ft) on Bermuda or zoysia for the open sun. Mulching tends toward larger volumes — we calculate cubic-yard delivery rather than bag count for most Hixson properties. Drainage issues are less common than in older Chattanooga neighborhoods, but lake-adjacent lots can have erosion and grading needs around the shoreline.

We service both Hixson proper and the surrounding North Hamilton County corridor up toward Soddy-Daisy.

Landscaping in Ooltewah, TN

Ooltewah's growth has been fast — newer construction, big yards, and a lot of bare soil that needs help becoming a real lawn. About 25 minutes from downtown via I-75. The Cambridge Square corridor and the Snow Hill Road developments have been our most active Ooltewah service area.

Sod installation on freshly-built homes is the dominant service request here. Builders pour foundations and grade around them, but the "yard" they leave behind is usually compacted clay subsoil with no topsoil layer — which means new sod installs almost always need topsoil amendment and regrading before the first roll goes down. We quote that prep work transparently up front.

Drainage solutions for builder-grade grading issues are the second most-common Ooltewah call. Standing-water yard corners are nearly universal in fresh subdivisions.

Landscaping in East Ridge, TN

East Ridge is established, tighter lots, mature trees. About 10 minutes from downtown via Ringgold Road. Most homes were built between the 1950s and 1980s, which means the landscapes are mature: established beds, mature shrubs, decades-old trees. The work here is more about maintenance and restoration than starting from scratch.

Mulching, shrub trimming, and yard cleanups dominate East Ridge service calls. Homeowners who've maintained their yards for decades want a reliable crew to keep them sharp. We get a lot of "my long-time guy retired, can you take over the schedule" calls in East Ridge.

Drainage issues in East Ridge usually come from older grading and aging downspout systems — surface drains and downspout extensions are more common than full French drain installations.

Landscaping in Red Bank, TN

Red Bank, just north of downtown Chattanooga (5–10 minutes via Dayton Boulevard), is a mix of older homes with mature landscapes and newer construction with builder-grade yards. The trolley-line-era streets like Dayton Boulevard and Newberry have shaded, established yards; the newer pockets off Morrison Springs Road skew toward open sun and fresh sod opportunities.

Both directions of work are common in Red Bank: restoration of overgrown beds (mulching + shrub trimming) for established homes, and starting fresh on a new lawn (sod + drainage solutions) for newer builds. The neighborhood's mature canopy means fall cleanups are heavy here too — pin oaks and tulip poplars drop a lot of leaf volume.

Tighter lots in Red Bank often require careful equipment staging; we plan jobs around alley access where it exists.
